This photo was taken in December 2014 at the lobby of a hotel in Makati. I was with Nina Mendoza , Maria Concepcion Soriano Zabala , Ela Carrillo , and Gracie Avinado because we attended a seminar.

We saw this iMac in the lobby. So we decided to take turns and took photo. We even said, “Soon, we’ll have our own iMacs.”

I got my own iMac (albeit second hand) in June 2017.

I enjoyed using the iMac until it became slow. I finally let go of it in March 2025.

But since I am already an Apple convert, I decided to buy a Mac Mini. I then asked one of my mentors, Jomar Hilario, for the best monitor. I got 3 cables now, unlike before (iMac is the CPU and monitor in one, so there’s only 1 cable). It took me a while to get used to having many cables again. But it’s alright.

Looking back, I sometimes tell myself, “Wow, that happened. That dream came true.”

But it’s not without challenges and failures and successes – rinse and repeat.

Yes, go pray for your dreams. But it’s going to work if you believe and you work for it.
