I was half-expecting to get The Manila Times feature published today.
It’s not that I don’t trust CarlaBianca V. Ravanes Higham’s statement that the article will be out today.
Anything can happen in a daily newspaper. If there is an issue or topic more pressing, my feature could be bumped off.
But not only was the feature published. When my brother sent me the images of the printed version of The Manila Times, I saw two things:
1. My feature was in the “ears” of the paper. According to Bright Hub dot com, the ear is used for a slogan, the date, the weather, or for drawing attention to a special feature.
2. Not only was my feature occupying half the page with my big name. The name FILIPINO CHAMPIONS meant so much more.
Carla, I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful words. You are an awesome storyteller.
Thanks to Karla Stefan Singson and Melissa Profeta of Prime Influencers who started me with better online presence last year.
Thank you to all the friends and family members who sent their congratulations on our way, shared the article and tried their best to look for a printed version of the daily.
I do not claim to be the best representation of the virtual professional community. Every person has their own story. I believe they have more inspiring stories than mine.
But let my story remind you that every attempt to achieve something is possible but not without faith, hard work, and help.
