I was scrolling on LinkedIn when I saw a LinkedIn Daily Rundown news that Elon Musk of Tesla unseated Bill Gates as the second richest man in the world. That is according to Bloomberg Business Review.

To be sure, I clicked on the original article on Bloomberg’s website.

Then, I went to Facebook Messenger.

Aaannndddd there goes the ad, convincing me to subscribe.

What’s Facebook Pixel’s got to do with it?

When I read the article in Bloomberg, the Facebook Pixel is present in their website. The pixel “triggered” the action that I took (read the article). With that, Facebook sent me an ad.
