Do You Truly Hear Others?

To truly hear others, the best thing you can do is simply listen from the heart.

I replaced my headset foam covers.

I wasn’t expecting anything special—just another routine fix. When I took off the old covers, I was surprised to find that the broken foam had shaped itself into a heart!

That moment made me pause.

They say that if you put your two ears together, it creates a heart. With the CopyGeeks Division Head position I took for close to 2 years, I’ve realized how true that is.

For months, my role was to listen—really listen—to many people. My immediate heads, our clients, and our team.

Everyone has something to say. Everyone had a point to make. And if I’m being honest, it was exhausting.

At the end of each day, I felt the weight of all the conversations, the opinions, and the decisions that needed to be made.

But here’s what I’ve learned: Sometimes, the best thing you can do is simply listen.

When you listen, you create space for others to share their stories.

When you listen, you let people feel heard, valued, and understood.

When you listen, you don’t always need to respond—you just need to be present.

Listening goes beyond merely hearing words. It’s about giving your heart.

May you always listen from the heart.
