Unbelievable story: I hugged a tree.
[Yep, that one right there in the picture.]
I was on an out-of-town trip with friends.
We stayed in an ecology park and resort located on top of a mountain.
The January breeze was cool, making the trees dance.
Beside our villa was a lone tall tree.
One of my friends decided to walk towards the tree.
He removed his sandals and then hugged the tree.
He said he felt good.
Hugging a tree removes toxins and negativities from the body.
He encouraged me to do it.
And so I did.
I walked toward the tree.
I removed my sandals and left them beside its roots.
Then I hugged the tree barefoot.
It was so huge, my hands weren’t able to meet both ends!
I felt good.
I felt one with nature.
The moment grounded me, literally.
When we left the place, I realized I should have hugged the tree longer.
