Make time.
My business revolves around taking time from other people so that they can have a life.
My clients appreciate what I do for them. And I love them in return.
However, I forget that I also need to give time to people who matter to me most.
A few years ago, I played an exercise video on our TV so I could follow it. When my father saw me, I told him to exercise with me. Papa did his best to raise his arms (during this time, he was already in a wheelchair due to a freak accident.)
The next day, he asked me to eat his afternoon snacks with him. I sat down with him to eat because prior to that day, I remembered saying ‘no’ to him for weeks because I had to do other things.
Looking back, even if I do have the time now, my dad’s no longer here. I was glad to make those decisions.
Doing what is expected of you in business is essential. Earning money from your business is essential. But it’s not the end-all-be-all.
