Saying hello to De La Salle University to teach tomorrow's technopreneurs, 21 years after failing my college entrance exam.
September 26, 2018

21 years ago (ohmygoodnessdidijustsaythat), I stepped into De La Salle University-Manila with my Papa for a college application.

I failed the entrance exam because I got an envelope with a one-page letter while some of my classmates got a thick envelope full of enrolment forms.

On March 20, 2018, I came back and helped a class of tomorrow’s technopreneurs. I taught them how to market online through a short talk (side by side with Nina Mendoza). Thanks to Professor (and author and good friend) JB Borromeo for inviting us.

With my ever-reliable sidekick of two years, Rogers (that’s the name of my laptop. And I wasn’t able to change its cover to green! Sorry, alma mater.)

Nina Mendoza and I discussed how to market apps online.

Nina’s turn on the platform!

Was it a revengeful comeback? Not really.

I realized I had to experience failure so I could be a better person today.

And LaSallians help each other. I studied at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas.

So love wins. #animo

Post script: 16 years ago today on the same day, I graduated from college. I found out about it after checking Facebook’s “On This Day”. What a comeback.
