Last May 27, 2017, I attended Manila Workshops’ Facebook Ads Basics for Small and Medium Business Enterprises. The speakers were Manila Workshops CEO Ginger Arboleda and New Smart Marketing CEO Nina Mendoza.
I have been studying (and applying as much as I can for clients and myself) Facebook Ad since 2014. And because of the ever-changing Facebook Ads (from its look, terms and button locations), I felt I still needed to attend the Basic Level. Aside from that, the seminar is supported by Facebook Regional Office in Singapore. Cool, isn’t it?
The seminar discussed the basics of marketing (the main reason a business owner is advertising, not just on Facebook, but in any given online and offline marketing platforms), Facebook ad terms, and how to set up ads on Facebook. To check what we learned, the speakers instructed us to publish a post on our Facebook Page and create a post engagement ad. I will post the results of what I did on a separate blog post.
It was a good thing that I did my first post engagement ad for a client that week, so creating my own post engagement ad on Facebook’s a breeze. I tried to help other co-participants during the workshop.
All participants were given certificates signed by Facebook and Manila Workshops! Hooray!
It was awesome to meet Ginger again. I first saw her when I did a talk on — guess what — Facebook Ads — last January 2016 for Manila Workshops and Raket.ph. On the other hand, it was my first time to meet Freelance Blend’s Marv de Leon.
Manila Workshops will continue to run the Facebook Ads series of seminars for basic and advance levels in the coming months.
I published some Facebook ad results on my Slideshare and here on my site. For clients: are they helping you understand how Facebook ads can help you on your business? For aspiring exceptional VAs: have you ran campaigns, too?
