In the photo are the donuts that our neighbor gave just to distract you and me. I was like, “Uuuggghhh why aren’t you a healthy food?!?” (Told yah it’s a struggle.)
I am biohacking one day at a time.
Why? Because I got a wake-up call from my own body.
Last December 2024, my blood test numbers weren’t pretty—my LDL cholesterol hit 3.12, well above the healthy range.
My doctor said, “You can lower it with diet.”
Thank God that was possible. The last thing I want is another tablet.
So, in the middle of holiday feasts, I asked myself: “How do I bring 3.12 down?”
I researched, tracked what I ate, and realized being “lean” didn’t give me free reign to eat anything.
I swapped out the foods I loved but needed to leave behind.
I paired my morning Rosary walks with intentional meals, and stuck to the plan—even on tough days.
(Note: Tough days are a lot. They are every day!)
Day by day, that work added up.
Last week, my LDL cholesterol was down to 2.71! 🎉
Still a bit high, but heading in the right direction.
I’m no bionic superhero—I struggle just like you.
But this unseen work matters more than any like or share.
This unseen work matters to me.
It will make an impact not only to my family, but to my friends, clients, and colleagues.
Even in the people I will meet in the future.
Do know that I share my health struggles because I am not trying to live forever.
My point is, I want to live fully and die healthy.
I also share my struggles because you could be taking your health for granted. I am no influencer, but I can tell you to take care of yourself.
You have one life—let’s live it fully and stay healthy together. 💪❤️
Can you help me improve my healthy habit? I would appreciate if you would share one food or habit in the comments. Let’s help each other!
