When we were kids, many of us dreamed of having a Jollibee Kiddie Party.
Name it—balloons, games, spaghetti, Chickenjoy, and of course, Jollibee dancing in front of us. It is the ultimate childhood milestone.
But for some, that dream remained just that—a dream.
I was one of them.
The closest I got to it was my parents inquiring at a nearby Jollibee store. I was probably turning 8 or 9 years old then.
The party never happened, but somehow, the longing stayed.
Fast forward to today. I may not have had that dream birthday party, but life had its own way of making things come full circle.
Now, I own a few Jollibee shares through the stock market (thanks to Truly Rich Club and COL Financial!).
And interestingly enough, I find myself attending Jollibee Kiddie Parties every now and then—not as the birthday celebrant, but as an invited guest.
Name it—balloons (I’m okay not to bring this home), games (ugh, I hate it when I am called!), spaghetti (hands down my favorite), Chickenjoy (my second favorite), and of course, Jollibee dancing in front of us (I am non-chalant, but seeing the bee is still a joy).
It is still the ultimate childhood milestone.
(I seriously don’t know why kids are scared of Jollibee, though.)
It’s funny how we outgrow some dreams, yet life gives us new ways to experience them differently.
We may move on from childhood wishes, but the joy, wonder, and excitement we felt back then? That’s something we should never let go of.
Never stop being a child. Growing up doesn’t mean losing your inner child; it means embracing life with joy in new and unexpected ways. just in new and unexpected ways.
What’s one childhood dream you’ve outgrown but still find joy in today?
